Hello I have a question. So is Dental Specialist is like a similar program where in civilian life you go to dental school for 4 years to get DDS whereas this Dental Specialist program you get training in Army and prepare to be a dentist for 4 years?
Great question! You can learn more about Dental Specialist (68E) by following the link below. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Idk if you got an answer, but the answer is yes and no. Yes you get training as a hygienist through X2 school, no it doesn't give you any civilian cert through that. You'll have to actually go through the civilian 2/4 year program. But on the bright side, the army will pay for that 🙂
